: Ok ive had an NA for two years so im new to the whole turbo world, i understand the basics and cant wait to get my feet wet playing with boost. : Ok first Question, what are these #s you keep throwing out? : Do they relate to the turbine wheel size? It seems like each differnt brand uses a different numbering system. : there are 500s 600s 650s 16gs 2530s t28s... what the crap how are you susposto know what size it what? : and what is the stock turbo size? : I am getting a 91tt that is having a compleatly rebuilt engine and rebuilt stock turbos. I dont have the money for larger injectors, fmic, and all the other accestoris that go along with larger turbos so i opted for the stock ones cause they will be able to push all the boost i can run anyway. : Im just gonna take it to stg3+ hopeing for about 350 at the wheels at 15-16lbs of boost. : Should i have spent a little extra and got a bigger turbo? even if i dont plann on running more than 17lbs of boost? Read my series in the last 4 issues of SCC if you want to learn about turbos. For what you want to do, stock turbos should be fine although the stock injectors are pretty much maxed out at that point. They don't like much more boost than that and most cars can't run past 15 psi on pump gas without detonating, especialy crappy california 91 octane crap. Mike
